Pinoy Carbonara With Ham And Bacon

Pasta recipes from all over the world, such as spaghetti bolognese, baked macaroni, and linguine pasta, are among the greatest. One of the most popular is the Pinoy Carbonara, which is enjoyed by people of all ages. Simply defined, this is pasta with a delicious light, smooth sauce. And with this dish, I’ve made carbonara more simpler by using a few recognizable ingredients and simple techniques.

However, as you may know, in the Philippines, this is cooked with a lot of cream, which gives it that creamy, lovely taste. However, some individuals may be unaware that the traditional Italian dish does not contain any cream. And it’s certainly simpler in terms of what you’ll need to make it. Compare these two Carbonara recipes to see what I mean.

Authentic vs Filipino Style Carbonara

Carbonara

Authentic Carbonara

The only ingredients in the original recipe that make this creamy are eggs and cheese. The authentic Carbonara has fewer ingredients. We just add Panceta to our dish to make it more rich and filling. We only have cheese, eggs, a little salt, and ground black pepper as spices. However, despite its simplicity, it is not lacking in substance. This authentic version is popular because it has a fantastic flavor while having only a few parts.

Carbonara Recipe Filipino Style

On to the type you might be more familiar with: Carbonara Recipe Filipino Style! This is made with a lot of all-purpose cream and a few other spices, such as meat cube and nutmeg. This dish would be incomplete without the fried bacon, which complements the smooth pasta. If you haven’t tested this version yet, you should do so right away!

Festive Tuna Carbonara

My Festive Tuna Carbonara dish is both gorgeous and delicious. It comes with a wonderful selection of toppings, such as bell pepper, bacon, and, of course, tuna. This fantastic combination makes it ideal for the holidays or any other upcoming occasion. And when I say “soon,” I truly mean “as soon as possible.” It only takes about 15 minutes to create because you’ll mostly be mixing the ingredients together. Tuna’s salty, rich flavor is also unique. It adds a gorgeous structure and flavor to our pasta that you won’t want to miss.

How to Cook Carbonara

You will need 300 grams of spaghetti for this. Now cook this up as indicated on the package’s instructions. Afterwards, drain the water you used, and set the spaghetti aside.

Grab a pan, and let this get hot. Put 8 strips you’ve cut into ½ cm slices in the pan. Then just cook these until they get nice and crunchy. Transfer this to a clean plate, and set this aside too.

In the same pan, heat 1 tablespoon of butter. After the butter has been melted, add two finely sliced garlic cloves. This was heated for 10 seconds before adding 12 cup of chopped button mushrooms and 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour. Then just combine everything and heat for 30 seconds.
