Sophie Skelton Outlander star lands next lead movie role

Sophie Skelton is starring in Row, her upcoming film. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Matthew Losasso's thriller will star Bella Dayne, Akshay Khanna, and Mark Trepan.

After washing ashore on a blood-stained rowboat, a lady must piece together her memories to prove her innocence. Her crewmates are gone and assumed dead.

"On the Valiant, the lack of space fuels paranoia and intense drama despite an infinite ocean," Losasso remarked. "The script is captivating and ambitious.

If filming on water wasn't hard enough, add a convoluted dark plot, technical ways to avoid green screen backdrops, a desire to convey ocean landscapes' rough beauty, and independent filmmaking boundaries.

Nick Skaugan's Row will begin filming in Scotland next month using a built tank to avoid VFX.

The actress told Radio Times about significant developments ahead of its June premiere: "We're incredibly proud of Outlander's unconventional stories.

"So you're all equal whether you've read the books or not. We will manipulate your emotions and take you on a rollercoaster. People are in the same boat. Your ride will be tough."
